The sun’s finally making an appearance in England and it’s so lovely and warm, I was inspired to give you an idea of what to wear on a sunny day like today, for example. I know yellow is quite a difficult colour to wear for some people as they’re scared of looking like a pre-schooler if they get the outfit wrong. However, I love bold choices and I’ll show you that yellow is not just for children and any fashion-loving woman who’s not afraid to look eye-catching can rock this!
I started this outfit off with the gorgeous MSGM high waisted shorts which could go with so many different outfits and they’re so beautiful! I just love them so much, I might make a separate post about how they can be styled into different outfits. I really think that they would be a great addition to any summer wardrobe!
I then let the colours of the shorts guide my choices for the rest of the outfit but I still didn’t want them to be plain and minimalistic (as you’ve probably noticed I’m more of a Carrie than a Charlotte in my wardrobe choices) so I chose the stunning floral Topshop top which reminded me a bit of the 1950s (which I also love) and made them the centre of attention by picking yellow shoes, sunglasses, bracelet and earrings to really make this outfit an explosion of yellow. As always, I love to accent high waisted shorts with belts and so this white belt was a bit of an obvious (but perfect) choice to go with this outfit. I also chose a turquoise necklace to contrast with the yellow-everywhere theme and to make a statement by really bringing out the yellow even more (if that’s even possible haha).
BTW: I have my exams at the moment which is why my posts aren’t as often as usual but two more weeks and there will be lots of exciting stuff coming for you all to see! So bare with me please 🙂
I hope you liked this outfit and let me know in the comments! Will you dare to wear yellow?
